1949 – 1953 Ford Flathead
All dressed out!

53 years ago my dad gave me a wrench and sent me out to remove the head from a 1949 Studebaker.  That wasn’t an easy job for a 7 year-old kid, but I got it done.  And that started me on what would be a life long  passion.

By the time I was 13 I was working in wrecking yards; at 18 I was running them.  In my 20’s I was working as the pit crew chief for the 1977 Pikes Peak Hill Climb Rookie of the Year.  (He is my brother who has since gone on to have more wins on that very challenging course than anyone – ever!).

My wife and I have a place now out in the country where I have managed to collect well over 100 cars from the 1930’s into the 1970’s.  I am finally admitting that I am not going to have time to do these cars justice.  My intention is to keep these cars from the crusher – when these old cars are all gone they will be gone forever!

We also specialize in building nostalgia hot rod motors such as early Caddy’s, Olds, Buick, Lincoln, Ford, Chrysler and so on in our complete machine shop.

Please browse through our pictures; maybe you will see something that will help you complete your project.
